- At DMU we hold a number of Open Days throughout the year to give you an idea of what life is like at university. A list of upcoming Open Days is available on the DMU website.
- Our Open Days are packed full of activities, including tours of our modern campus and accommodation, the opportunity to meet course tutors, find out about the many courses we offer and much, much more. Friends and family are welcome too.
- Our Student Ambassadors will also be on hand to chat to you. They currently study at DMU and can give you a taster of what life at university is really like.
- If you've already decided on the course you want to study come along to one of our Faculty Open Days, which are tailored specifically to the courses you're interested in.

- Leicester is a vibrant city of the future and, with a staggering £3 billion of recent investment, it boasts a brand new shopping centre, a world class theatre and much more.
- Partly funded by DMU and with three cinema screens, a digital exhibition space and digital production facilities, Phoenix Square is a digital arts centre of the future and includes De Montfort University Cube, a unique, interactive digital art space where poetry meets gaming, image meets sound and performance meets installation.
- Curve is a £59 million iconic performing arts centre, designed by world-famous architect Rafael Viñoly and hosting stars such as Marc Warren and Oscar-winner Juliette Binoche.
- The new £350-million Highcross shopping centre is the most technologically advanced in the UK, with 120 shops, 15 restaurants and cafes and Leicester's first multiplex cinema.
- Leicester caters for just about every taste with food and drink from all around the world. If you can think of it, chances are you will find it in Leicester, from family-run Italians to sushi and tapas. And in 2007 Leicester received the award of Curry Capital.
- Leicester is also known for its sporting excellence with both football and rugby teams and the chance for you to take part yourself at DMU's very own sports centre.
- Leicester is ideally located for you to travel to all parts of the country. The M1, A1, M69 and M6 allow easy access to both the north and south, as well as the Midlands and Wales. There is a network of routes for cyclists and good bus and train links to the rest of the country. Leicester is just 75 minutes from London St Pancras. East Midlands Airport is just 30 minutes away.
